I have wanted something like this for a long time. I bought an air fryer during the Amazon Prime day sale and find myself craving homemade fries, so I decided to buy this. I wanted to wash the parts before I used it, so I took the mold off and removed the matching blade. There is one type of screw on the mold and two types of screws on the blade. Do not remove the screws on the blade that match the screws on the mold. It works great for 3/8 inch potatoes but be prepared to have to pull the shoestrings out by hand. They do not go all the way through on their own. I like it enough to keep it.

Between mine and my sister-in-laws family, we have 12 people, and most of them are adult sized and eat more than we do! We were looking for something that made big hearty meals quicker, easier, and cheaper, and this machine does the trick. I didn't love the screw design at 1st, but now it doesn't bother me, as I keep a screwdriver in the kitchen for this and other things. Before I got my Pampered Chef mandolin, I found it a little challenging to clean, and a little weird to set up, so only got it out when we were having a bigger get together. When I got the PC mandolin, it came with a toothbrush type tool with a pick on the other end. That brush tool has made clean up a lot easier. Plus I figured out my kitchen aid bowls would sit in the slot underneath, and now I can use a large bowl that makes work flow much easier. This is now our go to tool this busy season. My 10 year old son now loves helping chop potatoes and carrots, and I'm thinking french onion soup is in the near future! It takes up a good bit of shelf space, but the time saved is well worth it. We love fries, but also dice potatoes with it. We just take out the sliced fries and put them sideways back on the machine. It makes a small dice that cooks quickly. It made all the root veggies for a huge pot of corned beef and cabbage a breeze, and I got to feed a very hungry family a hearty meal that was prepped and cooked in no time.

This took the work out of French fries, carrot and celery sticks, chopped onions if you quarter onions and lay them on their side, also chopped peppers quartered and pinch ends together. It you slice potatoes or carrots broccoli etc you can put them through for squares, perfect in soups, stews etc. I will get 40 lbs of onions or a bushel of peppers at the farmers market chop them with this machine and freeze them for winter use. It has made it so much easier. Great price for this hard working, built to last machine.

This machine suction cups to the counter Great. It’s like using a drill press. Easy to use easy to take apart and clean and switch out blades. I need something off YouTube with any potato cutter. Can you potatoes put them in the microwave for one minute five seconds then put them to the table slicer what a difference. As kids bought this machine for mom’s birthday. She just loves it she’s 12 mini machines in at all garbage.

After much review/comparison and with reservation due to a few reviews, I can my worries were unfounded. Device is HEAVY and appears to be built very strong. Cut small and medium sized potatoes with complete easy. Hint - microwave potato for 30 seconds and that will help cut smoother. Tried shoe string and regular sized fry cutting pieces. Hate the design that requires screws to remove top plate and bottom cutter blade each time to change and wash. They should use some type of speed lock on locking pin. Also shoestring is hard to clean out mash potatoes and will require a small butter knife. The suction cup holds suprisingly well on quartz countertop. Unit is big and heavy.

Great product much easier then any other cutter I have bought! I have had several different cutters this is the best one! The suction cups on the bottom work great and it doesn’t require a body builder to actually turn and cut potatoes even the smallest size blades cut with little to no effort!

This is the best fry maker we have ever bought! We do fries at least twice a week with friends and family. Easy to clean and easy to switch out cutter heads. This is SUPER sturdy and cuts through a 4 inch wide by 10 inch long potato with ease!!
